Synaxis \Syn*ax"is\, noun, from the Greek verb synago, which means gathering, assembly, reunion, bringing together.
Synaxis is a fine dining establishment located in downtown Asbury Park, on the corner of Cookman Avenue and Bond Street only three blocks from the beach. Synaxis offers an unmatched atmosphere in a comfortable and romantic Mediterranean setting. Synaxis specializes in Mediterranean-Greek cuisine and offers traditional Greek delicacies from recipes passed down through generations, fresh whole fish, Certified Angus prime steaks, homemade desserts, and of course, three top shelf bars. Synaxis is known for its extensive wine list featuring the best wines from Greece, Cyprus, the Mediterranean region, and around the world. Synaxis offers live entertainment on the weekends featuring popular Jazz trios, pianists, Greek entertainers, Classic R & B, Motown and other groups, making your dining experience memorable. Synaxis caters to all of your corporate and social events and it can accommodate up to 300 people. Allow Synaxis to organize your next event in one of its private, elegant dining areas while you enjoy the festivities like a guest. We also offer Kosher bar and catering services.
The Synaxis Parthenon Lounge features many theme nights, such as piano and martini, dinner theater, jazz blues, Greek music, and belly dancing. A top shelf bar and a late night menu are offered for you enjoyment.
